Removal of subscriber capacity of city exchange
With support for common protocols of digital trunk lines (DTL), commonly used in an interconnected communication networks (ICN) of the Russian Federation, "MiniCom DX-500" system can be used as a PABX included in NATS (National automated telecom system) on the rights of a substation. The connection to city exchange that produce some of its capacity at the level of a trunk, is performed with primary rate of 2048 Kbps, providing 30 B-channels of 64 Kbps for transmission and one D-channel of 64 Kbps for signaling. Interaction with ICN is organized using a standard signaling 2ICS (R 1,5), SS7. In rural PABX "MiniCom DX-500" can communicate by two-way trunk with two or one ICS. Responding to an inquiry of Caller ID equipment, implemented in a standard way, makes it possible to include "MiniCom DX-500" in a network of automatic toll as terminal station.
Station services
When creating "MiniCom DX-500" implementing the most advanced digital telephony solutions embodied in the use of specialized chips from leading manufacturers, developers of the station ensure great service opportunities. On a par with the services long-known by PABX subscribers, new services are capable to surprise the users of the system.
Services of parallel calls
One of the subscriber’s key features on which many station services are based is the ability of the subscriber via one device to organize any number of independent conversations at the same time, with the ability to switch between them, combine and control them.
Establishment of a new conversation without leaving the current one
Having conversation with one user (the current call), simply dial of the other user organizes a new conversation. In this case, the other user (the current call) is automatically put on "hold". The subscriber can switch between calls or merge them into multilateral conversation (conference call). By repeating this operation, you can organize any number of conversations.
Merging and switching services
Switch to the previous call;
· Merge with the previous call;
· Switch to the incoming call;
· Merge with incoming call;
· Implement a subscriber’s capability to switch and merge calls.
Unconditional Forwarding
Unconditional forwarding allows to forward all calls of the subscriber to the number of any other user. It is possible to forward not only to the station subscriber, but also to the outside line with a pre-programmed dialing of external network number.
Forwarding on Busy
"Forwarding on Busy" allows in case the called user is busy to forward incoming calls to another number specified when ordering the services in the station.
Forwarding on No Answer
"Forwarding on No Answer" allows to forward incoming calls to another number at the end of time, defined as the time of "non-answer" when ordering the services in the station.
Forwarding on Schedule
This service applies to the management of incoming calls and allows to define a group of persons to whom you want to forward a call in the case of "non-answer" of each of them. "Non-answer" time is defined for each port individually.
Call Pickup in Groups
Intercept of incoming call by any group subscriber.
Notification and end call services
Call notification
To use this service a subscriber calling a busy subscriber dials the service number, after which a special signal informs the conversing subscriber on the receipt of additional call. The subscriber can accept or ignore the incoming call.
Voicemail (urgent) notification
In urgent cases, when "no-answer" of a called party after sending a notification signal, the caller can re-dial the service code. In this case, the transmission line of the caller is connected to reception line of the called (with 6 dB attenuation) and voice notification becomes possible. In this case, the caller cannot hear any of the participants in the call, and the second party to the conversation does not hear a notification addressed to the partner.
Call completion to busy subscriber
Call completion to busy subscriber service (Call Back) allows the caller to order a recall the busy user at the end of the ongoing conversation.
Call completion on No Answer
This service is similar to the previous one, with a recall happens after the first conversation with the absent subscriber unit.
Dialing service
A subscriber is given the opportunity to repeat the last dial, if it does not exceed 28 characters, including pauses. At call service "Redial", the station repeats the entire sequence of the previous dial as it has been performed (i.e. automatically dials pauses between numbers exactly as they are done by the subscriber).
Conference Call
This service allows any subscriber to merge calls into a conference call, repeatedly calling and connecting additional subscribers. Any of the participants can also add additional lines to it, using the same service. Just one conference can consist of up to 60 participants.
Circular Conference
To facilitate access to frequently performed conferences there is a service: collection of circular conference. It is possible to determine the required number of groups, circular calling of which is performed by a dialing the service number and pre-arranged group number. The called parties by accepting a call are in a multilateral conversation.
Call Suspension Services
For the flexible distribution of all possibilities of the station 256 levels of categories and priorities are included. Incoming and outgoing categories are assigned to subscribers, trunk lines and communication channels. Categories are also assigned to service opportunities. Depending on their distribution specific interaction of subscribers, channels and services are allowed or denied.
Tariff Service
This service is designed to provide, if necessary, payment for conversations on certain categories of lines, providing information about the caller and external line used for communication, dialed number, call type, date, time and duration of a call.
Measurements and Settings Service
The station provides a semi-automatic tuning of subscriber sets under the parameters of a particular line and the subscriber unit, as well as automated determination of the status of external equipment, measuring interpair transitions. The first of these services is available to subscribers and performed by dialing a service number, the second is designed for ease of personnel service.
Conversation Recording Service
"MiniCom DX-500" can include additional software and hardware system of conversation registration based on PC, allowing to organize the recording of conversations with 4, 8 or more channels, for example, to record all technological conversations of a controller.
Voice mail
The owner of the voice mail can listen, save, delete, or forward received voice messages with own comments.
Reporting system
The system allows to report subscribers on a predetermined list of numbers and to send them answerphone phrases. For example, informing subscribers on a debt.
Special (Non-telephone) Services
There are a number of equipment configurations for specific problem-solving of departmental communications, when "MiniCom DX-500" is able to offer services, desirable and appropriate in complex communication networks, but not typical for telephone exchanges. Among them there is a constant channel switching with digital or analog form for various needs.
This service is required, for example, when building a linear structure of communication along the extended objects with little traffic and there is a limited number of PCM paths to combine objects. "MiniCom DX-500" on such a structure takes the role of multiplexer dedicating channels for data transfer, telemetry, building institutional trunking systems in digital and analog form (two- or four-wire terminations, standard joints).
Manual Operator Services
It is still high demand for manual operator services. The number of automatic connections is constantly growing, but this does not reduce the need for manual service, and change the types of services provided by operators. In addition to traditional manual connection services there is a need for compounds with special features (for example, the collection and provision of conference communication), as well as custom-made compounds (a method that increases the efficiency of the telephone network by prioritizing calls and providing extra facilities in case of a limited number of channels or complicated wiring schemes). For these reasons, manual operator services subsystem is a natural complement to departmental long-distance networks. If it is necessary to have more than one operator, additional workplaces are formed easily (to 16 WPs), which may have on their boards a multiple field and independent parts of the channel / subscriber capacity. Manual service operators of "MiniCom DX-500" implement all basic features of traditional departmental long-distance switches, using a cordless digital switching, which allows to increase productivity, provide subscribers with additional types of services and optimally load communication channels.

IP-telephony
"MiniCom DX-500" and "MiniCom DECT" communication systems are compatible for the physical and signaling interface with network equipment for the transmission of voice traffic over Voice over IP technology. Switching and voice connections operation is provided by the protocols provided by international standards. The use of mobile handsets and traditional telephony a living speech quality is provided.
Configurator for WINDOWS
With the help of this PC-based software there is an opportunity to configure and upgrade PABX offline and to send ready-made station configuration by e-mail. Application of the configurator for departmental and enterprise networks enables to reduce the time for reconfiguring the network stations and reduce the costs for its operation, eliminating the need to send highly qualified specialists on a business trip for this purpose. After receiving ready-made configuration by e-mail, any specialist in the branch can independently "download" it to the station.
System reliability
Realizing the high degree of responsibility of telecommunication technology in the manufacturing process, the developers of "MiniCom DX-500" paid special attention to reliability and fault tolerance.
Distributed control
The use of microprocessors with owns memory in each module allows to assign control of the entire system. Reliability is no longer determined by the dependence on centralized, and therefore having a greater impact, control function. In case of decentralized control, the failure of one module has a limited impact on the overall system. Each cluster of "MiniCom DX-500" has its own microprocessor and a digital switching field, providing switching of calls within the same cluster.
Duplication of Systems
Resources of station, affecting the coordinated operation of individual modules, are used centrally. Central switching unit and inter-module synchronization system are performed using the principle of 100 percent redundancy.
Structure of power supply system
"MiniCom DX-500" is built using a fully decentralized system of power. Station is energized with 48 V or 60 V from external primary power sources via two independent external inputs. Each card is powered by independent buses. Card automatically selects a power supply bus, switching to another if one of the sources fails. Thus, the station has no internal centralized power supply units.
Selection of components and production technology
"MiniCom DX-500" is built on the elemental basis of world's leading manufacturers - Analog Devises, Siemens, Hewlett Packard, Intel, etc.
To achieve a high quality and reliability of the equipment the most advanced automated production of printed circuit boards with surface mount technology (SMT) of components is used.
